After a Yelp search, I called Brian this morning (Saturday) regarding a tenants washer that was not working. He was able to respond within 2 hours. After arrival, he diagnosed and fixed the issue within an hour. He had the needed parts on his van so it was a quick and painless ordeal. I must say I found his rates to be reasonable and within the price range I have paid for other appliance repairs. I would definitely call A-1 next time for appliance repairs

I called Brian on a Sunday afternoon, needing my dryer repaired. He was out within an hour and fixed my problem immediately. He was honest, on time and professional. They came to my house and helped big time. I think it is always better to fix an older machine than get a new one. They just dont make appliances the way they used to. I would use A1 again for problems with other appliances. Thanks for the help!

Noticed that the frig stopped working yesterday (ice and icecream had melted). Called A1 at 8am this morning and Brian was at our door 2 hours later. Quickly diagnosed the problem (broken heater so frig wasn't auto-defrosting, which caused ice build up to the point where it wasn't working), had the replacement heater part in his truck ($130) and swapped it out after a manual defrost with a heat gun. Very quick. Very pleasant process. Recommend Brian and A1.

Reliable smart same day service fast, in home! I was worried the dryer could start a fire from the noise, not only did Brian give a same day quote but with perfect service....he didn't charge me for any 'surprises'. It just took one phone call explained the issue with my dryer and Brian was out to fix it with no issues or long waits. he arrived when he said he would.

I just had Brian come over and repair my washer which has been out of service for a week. I was going to buy a new set of washer and dryer from Sears. But $2283.59 for these monster machines which didn't appear to me to be more efficient or better than my old Kenmore. So I called around, including Sears. They wanted $75 for a diagnostic visit. They could not give me a rough idea of what a repair given my problem might be. Even as I gave them the serial # to their machine! I just needed to have information so I could make the decision whether to buy a new one or not? I am so glad I went out side of the Sears network. And got on Yelp and searched for an appliance guy in my local zip. Brian answered my questions on the phone and gave me a ball park number for the possible repair. I liked his customer service. I liked that he gave me his name and I made a contact. I am a real estate agent with Coldwell Banker Coastal Alliance in Long Beach. So we exchanged cards and will definitely help each other out with referrals. I am a happy client. Thank You Brian!

I was happy to get a hold of them on Friday night, and have Brian (owner) able to come in in less than an hour and fix the broken part in my fridge.
It was a bit pricey, but I was notified over the phone what to expect, and I was just happy to have everything fixed so quickly. My week-end was not ruined, and I was relieved to hear that i don't need to run and buy a new firdge. I will call them again if anything else gets busted. For now, nothing but good words about their service.

I called A1 after I had bought a part for my washer that I thought I could fix myself. Unfortunately repairing an older washing machine is sometimes easier said than done.
I called around to a number of repair companies and while they would repair the washer, they would not use the part I purchased myself. When I talked to the owner of A1 (Brian) he told me he had no problem using the part I purchased if it was indeed the part needed for the repair. He told me what to expect and that if another part was needed, he would get the part to complete the repair.
Brian arrived on time and told me I was fortunate to have the correct part and he was able to get the repair done fast.
I've learned my lesson of attempting DIY on an appliance without a manual. I wasted almost 2 weeks ordering a part myself, waiting to receive it and attempting to do a repair. It's good to know there are companies like A1 that will finish a repair for us DIYers. I will give A1 a call the next time my appliances need repairs. Great service that I highly recommend!

I have an old dryer and when it stopped drying clothes entirely I dreaded the inevitable purchase of a new dryer. Talked to a friend who had theirs repaired a few months prior, luckily the serviceman left a sticker on his dryer and my friend passed along the info. Made the call in the morning and by afternoon he was there (star for that!) As a single gal with not much mechanical knowledge, I am ALWAYS leery of getting ripped of when in need of repairs of any sort. Not the case with A1, the serviceman (think his name is Bryan) took his time listening to the problem, then let me know how he was going to handle it. He gave me an estimate and it was very reasonable (star for that!) He went to work immediately and quickly identified the problem (bra under wires tangled in the dryer, who knew?!) After extracting the debris from the dryer & making sure it functioned properly, he even cleaned the floor where lint and such had collected. (self cleaning repair man? star for that!) He even called the next day to ensure the dryer was functioning properly. I have worked in customer service for over 15 years and was thoroughly impressed with A1 Speedy Appliance repair. The staff is punctual, HONEST, clean and friendly. Thank you!

Called at 10 AM, explained the problem, and was told that I could expect the technician between 11 and 4. Brian called about 11:20 and said he was on his way, and he showed up about 11:30. He quickly diagnosed the problem and wrote up an estimate. I agreed to have him do the repair, and the service call fee was waived. The repair was completed quickly and professionally, and for the estimated cost.(Brian even fixed a minor problem with my ice maker as a courtesy, at no cost). I will definitely use his services again. It's really refreshing to receive this quality of service.

Bryan had to order the control panel part for our dishwasher and install it. He also repaired the dryer without charging an additional service fee.
Dishwasher and clothes dryer are working now. Bryan was punctual and explained every step of his repair work. Very professional and knowledgeable about his work.

Freezer section was functioning but appliance ran continuously and refrigerator section would not cool food. A-1 responded promptly to this emergency--replacing the control board, thermostat and performing a manual defrost. I was unprepared for the bill; however, Brian earned every penny of it by being prepared with the needed parts and quickly fixing and even, I believe, averting future problems of this kind and on a Saturday. I will call him again when I need appliance repair because I know I'll get the job done well.

I've worked with Brian in the past and he is always responsive and prompt, and this time it was no different. I was very pleased with how quickly he diagnosed the problem, replaced a broken part with a new one already on hand, and got our washing machine working again. I called A1 Speedy Appliance to come and diagnose/repair a broken Whirlpool, front-loading dryer. Brian arrived and diagnosed the issue causing the dryer to not operate. He had to order the part and informed me that there would be a lengthy delay due to the New Year holiday. He called when the part arrived and scheduled a time to repair. I was unfortunately out of town, so things did not go as smoothly on my end, but Brian was patient and accomodating and arrived the next day to finalize the repair. The entire duration of this diagnosis and repair, I found Brian to be professional and respectful both in person and over the phone. He even put up with our crazy (friendly) dogs and acted as if they were no hinderance to him. We appreciated his professionalism, quality, timeliness, and communication and will definitely call on A1 Speedy Appliance again.

Bottom freezer of my Amana refrigerator was not defrosting correctly - there was ice buildup & then leakage unto floor. Brian identified the cause as a design flaw: the opening in drainage tube too small & easily clogged. He cleaned out the freezer, then opened back & enlarged the opening by cutting it. (I had another company out 8 months ago for same problem, however they did not identify the cause.) Hopefully problem is fixed this time - & there is a 3 month warranty.

I called him after finding him on Angie's List. He was unbelievably quick and even had the part with him. The owner, Bryan, came out and did the work himself. Spear's Appliance Service had come out at least three times before we hired Bryan. Every time they left, the refrigerator would go out again within two months and I would lose everything I had in my fridge. He was able to pull the cover off the top, install the part, and complete the repair. He was very patient and explained everything to me even though I was frustrated over bad previous experiences with other companies. He did a wonderful job!

Repaired washing machine and dishwasher.
A1 Speedy Appliance provided same-day service, as promised, even though it was on a Saturday, and Costa Mesa (where the repairs were needed) is rather far from their Long Beach location.
The assigned technician was delayed so the owner himself, Brian, made the call. He quickly diagnosed the problems with both appliances. He was very polite and not at all pushy about the options and extent of repairs that we could consider.
The washing machine had stopped agitating or spinning, but Brian had the necessary part in his van and replaced it efficiently, and then checked to make sure the washer worked well. The dishwasher needed to be cleaned out and then given an acid bath. Brian also give us some helpful tips for more effective use of our dishwasher.
We felt quite comfortable talking with Brian were very satisfied with the results. He seems very knowledgeable and experienced, as well as diligent about providing good service.

About 2 years ago, they repaired our stove.
They replaced the heating unit which they may have to do again soon.
They had to order a part so it took a couple of weeks. They did what they were supposed to do and it was fine. The technician who came out was very nice and explained everything to me. They were within price range. I can't say anything bad. I will probably look to them again to repair my stove in the future.
